You Won’t Have Damon Lindelof To Kick Around On PROMETHEUS 2

The writer is not returning for the sequel to the prequel to ALIEN.

What will happen to Whatsername and The Head of David next in Prometheus 2? Don't ask Damon Lindelof, because he won't have anything to do with it.

Talking to Collider, Lindelof confirms he will not be returning for the sequel. And it's not just because you guys made him feel bad (but seriously, the guy WALLOWS in negativity on Twitter). It's because he can't fit it into his schedule.

I’m usually very single-minded creatively.  I can only be working on one thing at a time.  So I said to [Ridley Scott], “I really don’t think I could start working on this movie until I do this other stuff.  And I don’t know when the other stuff is going to be done.”  And he was like, “Well, okay, it’s not like I asked you anyways.”  He and I are on excellent terms and it was a dream come true to work with him.  But much to the delight of all the fanboys, I don’t see myself being involved in Prometheus-er.

See, he's totally obsessed with the negative attention. This is a guy who makes a lot of money writing stuff that is very loved, but it's the few who dislike his work who motivate him.

I sort of understand where he's coming from.

Anyway, who knows who will be writing the film. It's really an open field, and I don't mean that in a good way. Between the increasingly strange choices of Sir Ridley and the Fox management, I can imagine a truly awful person being brought in for the sequel. Imagine a time when we'll look back on Lindelof with fondness!
