In Hugo the main characters find an automata that can draw a pre-programmed picture, despite looking like an artificially animated dead person while doing so. Now we have one in real life, too. This one's made of Legos, but it's still really creepy. And in need of corrective lenses, apparently.
Named Legonardo, the robot was built by Italian engineer Daniele Benedettelli and takes its drawing orders from computer software Benedettelli also created. Which means it's only a matter of time before an army of these guys occupy shopping malls all over the country, drawing humorous caricatures of you and your friends for five bucks a pop. No discount if the results make you cry.
