This morning, Hugh Jackman revealed an explosive new poster for next year's Logan, featuring Wolverine casually sauntering away from a very pretty sunset.
This isn't the worst poster we've ever seen (we have contests for that), but it's admittedly a little underwhelming. This is Logan, for god's sakes, the movie that blew away audiences with a 40-minute presentation at Butt-Numb-A-Thon, the movie that features Wolverine stabbing chumps in the head with wild abandon, the movie - we have been assured - that Wolverine fans have been clamoring for for years. Let's see some dynamism, y'know?
Then again, this is an older, more grizzled version of the Logan we all know and love, so maybe the sunset's supposed to be representative of him being in his twilight years? Or something? If so, I guess I can appreciate the poetic tone this one-sheet's trying to strike, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I'd prefer more head-stabbing.
James Mangold's Logan opens on March 3rd, 2017. We're hyped about it.
