Here we have what I'm assuming is the first trailer for Don't Knock Twice, an upcoming horror film starring Katie Sackhoff and Lucy Boynton. "Assuming", in this case, because this is the first I'm hearing of the film. I'm glad I did, too, because it looks kind of awesome.
Check this out.
Not sure how excited I am about a movie trailer advertising the number of jump scares said movie contains (that's a selling point now?), but at least they're being upfront about it. The rest of what's going on here looks juuuust creepy enough for me to add this one to my to-do list.
Here's an official plot synopsis, for those of you who enjoy such things:
“Knock once to wake her from her bed, twice to raise her from the dead…”
So goes a disturbing urban legend involving an abandoned house supposedly inhabited by a vengeful, child-stealing witch. When troubled teen Chloe (Lucy Boynton) raps at the door one night, she has no idea the horror she’s about to unleash. Fleeing to the country home of her estranged mother (Katee Sackhoff)—a recovering addict who’s turned her life around to become a famous artist—Chloe must learn to trust the woman who gave her up years ago in order to stop the bloodthirsty, shape-shifting demon stalking them. This wild supernatural shocker delivers a barrage of nonstop jolts and searing nightmare images.
"A barrage of nonstop jolts and searing nightmare images"? Say word? Alright, Don't Knock Twice, we'll give you a shot.
If you're feeling what Don't Knock Twice is putting down, be aware that the film hits select theaters and VOD on February 3rd.
