In a new interview with Yahoo! Movies, Luke Evans - the Fast and The Furious franchise's Owen Shaw - drops a mildly-interesting bombshell and one not-so-subtle hint.
Asked whether or not we might see a return of Shaw (the brother of Jason Statham's Deckard Shaw), who was last seen in a coma at the end of 2013's Fast & Furious 6, Evans says:
“People come around from comas, so who knows? He’s in a military hospital because he’s the most wanted man in the world, but he’s got a very powerful brother, and he’s now got a mum as well, who’s played by Helen Mirren.”
Like we said: mildly-interesting! Sounds like there's a decent chance Owen Shaw will be returning to the fold, and he and Statham will both have a mother (Helen Mirren) to contend with. There's still no word on what role Ms. Shaw may be playing in the film, but we do know - thanks to this Instagram post - that Mirren will also be sharing scenes with Vin Diesel, whose Dominic Toretto will apparently turn on his own #fambly in this installment of the franchise (it's gotta be a triple-cross, right?).
Stay tuned for more on Fate Of The Furious as we get ever closer to the film's April 14th release date.
