Rejoice: Steven Soderbergh’s LOGAN LUCKY Arrives In August

In which Soderbergh's latest gets distribution and a release date.

Here's some good news: Steven Soderbergh's heist comedy Logan Lucky has officially been picked up for distribution by Bleecker Street (who've partnered with Fingerprint Releasing), and they've already slapped a release date on it - August 18th.

The film stars Adam Driver and Channing Tatum as a pair of dimwitted brothers who team up to pull off an elaborate heist during a big NASCAR race. Hijinks are sure to ensue.

Joining Driver and Tatum are (deep breath) Riley Keough, Hilary Swank, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Katherine Waterston, Dwight Yoakam, Sebastian Stan, David Denman, Macon Blair (!!!), Jack Quaid, Brian Gleeson, and - last but not least - the great Daniel Craig, who you can see dead center in the newly-released photo above.

With Logan Lucky completed, confirmed for distribution, and assigned a release date, I suppose our next step is to wait for a trailer. While you're waiting on that to arrive, allow me to take this opportunity to again recommend Soderbergh's greatest comedy, The Informant!, which none of us talk about as much as we should. It's excellent and you should watch it immediately.
