Post-credits stingers: where would we be without them?
They've become a hallmark of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, working to fill in storyline gaps and tease future films for almost as long as the MCU's even been a thing, and - according to a Tweet issued by director James Gunn late last night - that tradition will continue when Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters next month.
It all started when select members of the press caught an extra-early screening of the film last night. Shortly after that screening ended, Film Twitter was awash in reactions (for the record, they were almost universally positive), and then word came down that the film contained four post-credits scenes.
ScreenRant ran a post saying as much, and then this happened:
@screenrant Well, five, actually.— James Gunn (@JamesGunn) April 18, 2017
So, there you have it: Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will not have four post-credits sequences. That would be absurd. It's going to have five, and you're probably going to sit through every inch of those credits to see 'em all.
What do these post-credits stingers contain? I'm not sure, because I've gone out of my way to avoid learning what they contain, and will continue to do so. But surely if you're that interested, you can find some loudmouth assclown who's spoiling their contents for everyone.
Stay tuned for more on Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 as we get closer to the film's May 5th release date.
