Disclosure: Tim League owns a portion of NEON as well as Birth.Movies.Death.
According to Deadline, the good folks at NEON just signed an exclusive, multi-year output deal with Hulu that will cover all of the distributor's films and content. In short order, all NEON titles will appear on the streaming service shortly after their release in theaters.
Says NEON's Tom Quinn:
“This output deal represents a groundbreaking approach to building the most comprehensive and interactive platform dedicated to visionary cinema. Neon is thrilled to find a partner as innovative, collaborative, and as transparent as Hulu. It’s a perfect match.”
Pretty snazzy! Of course movies like Nacho Vigalondo's Colossal should be seen on the biggest screen possible, but this deal guarantees that everyone will have a chance to see them, even if they are living in a remote location without a kick-ass movie theater nearby.
Stay tuned for more on NEON's output and the goings-on at Hulu.
