New SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING Scene Debuts During The MTV Movie Awards

This looks fun!

The MTV Movie Awards is in full swing, and you know what that means: even as we speak, audiences around the world are being mercilessly bombarded with brand-new trailers, clips and TV spots for their favorite upcoming movies.

Such as, yes, Marvel's Spider-Man: Homecoming.

So what we have here is Jon Watts' Spider-Man (Tom Holland) getting his Spider-spot blown up by Ned Leeds (relative newcomer Jacob Batalon), who happened to be cradling a stack of LEGO in the wrong bedroom at the wrong time.

In all seriousness: I'm loving the tone of Spider-Man: Homecoming. In even the darkest footage we've seen, the whole thing feels playful and light in a way that I'd like to see adopted by more of these superhero blockbusters. That feels right for the character, and it feels right for Marvel Phase 3, which is also introducing the wildly good-natured Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 and Thor: Ragnarok this year.

Anyway. Spider-Man: Homecoming arrives on July 7th. We're excited for it.
