You may recall reading about 20th Century Fox's Alien: In Utero VR experience just a few weeks ago. If you're anything like me - a grown adult who cannot possibly justify spending hundreds of dollars on a VR rig - you were bummed to hear you wouldn't get a chance to see it for yourself.
Well, thanks to the power of YouTube, now we can all experience Alien: In Utero. And in 360 degrees, no less!
Check it out.
Alright, so the viewer is a Xenomorph (actually, I think we're "playing" as a Neomorph here, but let's not get hung up on the details: the point is, we're a vicious little creature inside a human body), and over the course of a couple minutes we watch ourselves be born into the Alien universe. Pretty nifty trick, but I suspect this entire thing is way, way more impressive in VR. Maybe I'm gonna have to buy one of those ugly-ass headsets, after all.
Anyhoo, Alien: Covenant opens on May 19th (I'm seeing it tonight - JESUS, FINALLY, THANK GOD - and you can look for my review next Friday).
