When we first announced this series premiering on Netflix, we got a lot of comments derisively dismissing the one-joke premise. It looked like a spot-on riff of true crime docs, but about a kid spray painting dicks.
When we finished our binge watch, I likened it to this generation's Breakfast Club or Fast Times at Ridgemont High or Mean Girls. I stand by it. Over its arc, American Vandal transcended its incredibly stupid premise to become THE portriat of the social media generation. It's an amazing achievement. I'm serious.
Please God don't let them fuck up Season Two.
