We are, as you may have heard, unreasonably hyped for Netflix's new chat series, My Guest Needs No Introduction. Hosted by David Letterman (who has really grown into that beard over the past few years), this new monthly series will pair the former Late Show host with a number of top-shelf celebrities, including Jay-Z, Tina Fey, and - for its very first episode, debuting this Friday - former President Barack Obama.
Here's the very first clip.
Man. Seeing footage of Obama speaking now, one year into Trump's America, is almost jarring, isn't it? It's getting harder and harder to remember a time when the country was led by a dude who could actually string a series of coherent sentences together into what used to be known as "a point". We didn't know how good we had it, did we?
Anyway, each episode of My Guest Needs No Introduction will be an hour long, so if you liked what you saw above, be aware that there's 50-something more minutes of it where that came from. We'll be watching when this one hits Netflix on Friday, how 'bout you folks?
