Confession time: I've been less hyped about Infinity War than my associates here at BMD. Somewhere along the line, I feel like I reached a saturation point with the superhero genre, and ever since then it's become harder and harder to remain legitimately hyped about the new stuff. I don't begrudge anyone their excitement for these movies, of course, but I'd be lying if I said I've stayed invested in the various goings-on in Superhero Land.
Infinity War's kind of a different story - I'm frankly dying to know how they're planning to pull this experiment off - but even still, my hype levels had not reached critical mass. Then I watched this making-of featurette...

....and, hoo boy, am I back on the superhero hype train in a big way.
There's nothing specific I can point to here and say, "That's it - that's the moment that did it", but that opening back-and-forth with Drax and Star Lord over Thor's unconscious body is pretty excellent. Maybe it's all that footage of various MCU stars colliding, or having such an obviously great time working together. How could anyone stay grouchy in the face of such obvious joy? These guys seem to love each other!
Anyway, my body is ready, Avengers: Infinity War. I'll be there when you open on April 27th.
