One of the best things I saw at this year’s Comic Con was the presentation of Drive Angry footage in 3D. Unlike many post-converted pieces of junk this year, the latest film from Patrick Lussier (whose My Bloody Valentine remake is still one of the best 3D experiences of this latest 3D boom), was shot with 3D cameras. And it was shot with a sense of ass-kicking pulpy goodness and fun.
There’s a trailer now, and it doesn’t have everything I saw at Comic Con, but it gives you a good taste of Nic Cage as a man who escapes Hell to get vengeance on the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. Cars flip and explode and asses are suitably wrecked.
