Right now Chris Morris - the famous UK satirist and the director of the hilarious Four Lions - is flying to America. When gets here Tim League, CEO of the Alamo Drafthouse and Drafthouse Films (the company releasing Four Lions) and myself will meet up with him and head out across America, bringing nerd lifestyle and a terrorism comedy.
Chris will be doing Q&As at screenings across the country and I’ll be tagging along to help and to document the whole thing here on the site, probably in the form of video diaries. I suspect that out of the three of us I’ll be more of the bumbling comic relief character. It should get interesting; since we’re hitting Washington DC right after the Rally to Restore Sanity, we couldn’t get hotel rooms (all booked up!) and we’ll instead be spending about three days in a rented house together. There’s a whole sitcom in that.
So what does this mean for you? It means that if you live near any of the cities listed below you can come see Four Lions for free. And you’ll get a Chris Morris Q&A; maybe one of our Brit readers can comment below to let you Yanks know what a big deal that is. And also, depending on what schedules look like, I may be around for a beer or two after the show in your neck of the woods.
