CUT THE ROPE is Dope and I’m Addicted

If you fancy yourself some ANGRY BIRDS, or any iPhone game that is a hypodermic needle away from being an actual addiction, then be ready to add CUT THE ROPE to your must-get-a-fix list.

If you fancy yourself some Angry Birds, or any iPhone game that is a hypodermic needle away from being an actual addiction, then be ready to Cut The Rope. I must not be the only addict hankering for a hit as Cut the Rope was downloaded a million times in the first 10 days of it release, making it the fastest-selling iOS game to date.

Coming from publisher Chillingo, who also published Angry Birds and just got bought by EA, Cut the Rope is a simple physics-based game that requires you to get a piece of candy to the awaiting gullet of a cute lil’ dinosaur monster. Sounds easy enough, then thrown in are the added variables of multiple ropes, air guns, bubbles, movable ropes, spikes, and spiders and you’ll find the game to be increasingly difficult, but instantly replayable at the same time.

Honestly, the title of the game is my only problem. I figured the publishers of Angry Birds would’ve gone for something more memorable like Feed the Monster, Candy for Dinosaur, or Hungry-O-Saurus. Overlooking that one detail, Cut the Rope (App Store link) is the best damn game on the iPhone and iPad (App Store link). Peep the trailer below and if you end up playing it let me know what you think. Speaking of which, I’m due for another hit.
