Give us this day our daily trailer! A truly classic bit of exploitation weirdness, this trailer for a double feature of two older movies creates a fake newscast and populates it with weirdos, stereotypes and broad, broad jokes.
It’s tough to say what the greatest movie trailer of all time is, but this trailer, a dual one for Blood Spattered Bride and I Dismember Mama, is surely in the running. And probably in the top three. An insane, hyperactive, schticky piece of original material, this trailer must have blown a few minds in grindhousese when it played in 1972. Both films had played separately (and sometimes under different names), but this double teaming gave someone license for serious creativity. I love the creepy giggling guy most of all.
