Mark Wahlberg joins the video game movie DRAKE’S FORTUNE, and he may be bringing a couple of GOODFELLAS with him.

David O. Russell really likes Mark Wahlberg. The two are teaming up for a fourth go round, this time in the video game adaptation of Drake’s Fortune. And they’re not in it alone - Russell wants Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci to come aboard.

Wahlberg tells MTV News: “I’m obviously in whatever David wants to do, but the idea of it is so off the charts: De Niro being my father, Pesci being my uncle. It’s not going to be the watered-down version, that’s for sure.”

If only they could get Pacino as his mother.

Obviously Wahlberg doesn’t learn from past mistakes, having already done one video game movie, the nigh-unwatchable Max Payne. Of course with Russell directing and co-writing Drake’s Fortune has a better shot at being nigh-watchable.

I’m not that familiar with Drake’s Fortune but I thought it was an Indiana Jones riff. So what’s with hiring all the mafia actors? Any insights are welcome.
