Jodie Foster’s BEAVER Will Open This Spring
But Summit has stepped up and will be releaing the film in Spring 2011. They don’t have a date yet, but they have a trailer, which will be premiering on Apple and Entertainment Tonight tomorrow. And there’s a first official still - above - that has premiered (now everybody doesn’t have to keep using those papparazzi shots of Mel yapping at the puppet all the time).
But the question is how will this movie do? There has to be some press done, but I doubt Mel will do it. Maybe one high profile show, where he can cry and repent? Even without him at the junket, he’s the main story and his personal issues will be what’s talked about the most.
And on top of that I understand the film’s a tough sell in the best of times, with some real darkness at the center.
Here’s the synopsis from Summit; I’m excited to take a look at footage.
