The Badass Beer Advent Calendar: December 6th

With some business skill, a little luck, and the support of beer lovers across the country, Mr George managed to raise the cash after two years of wheeling and dealing, and the future of the brewery as a family-run company was assured. One result of this was a new Batemans brew - Victory Strong Pale Ale.  A few years after these shenanigans the brewery was featured in an episode of Michael Jackson’s TV series The Beer Hunter.

Batemans beers are exported to the US, but at the time of writing are not to be found in Texas. We’d be unlikely to to get any of their cask beer anyway because cask beer just doesn’t travel those kind of distances, but I’d be very interested in trying out some of their bottled beers on the menu, especially Rosey Nosey and Victory Ale.
