Weekend Chaos Post: We’re Numbing Our Butts

Things are going to be pretty slow at Badass Digest this weekend, and with good reason - pretty much everybody here is going to be locked inside a movie theater for 24 hours.

We’re all attending Butt-Numb-A-Thon, the 24 hour movie marathon Harry Knowles of Ain’t It Cool News throws for his birthday every year. This is my fourth or fifth time attending and it’s one of the highlights of my year; this year I’ll be joined by Tim and Moises and Roger (doing his first ever BNAT. I don’t think he knows what he’s in for), and it’s going to be great.

But it also means I’ll be away! The up side is that by the end of the weekend I’ll have seen six new movies that I’ll be reviewing. Who knows what Harry has lined up - in some years he’s shown movies very, very far in advance of their release. If that’s the case you could be in for some treats.

So while we’re all in a movie theater, luxuriating in cinema for a day, use this post to rant, rave, chat or whatever you like. BAD has been a pretty huge success so far, but the one thing I really want to do is foster more of a community here. I know that the people who read this site are smart and plugged in and have stuff to say - I’ve met and emailed with enough of you to see that. I want to hear from you guys in the comments more!
