Has a video ever gone viral so fast? This parody of Yogi Bear, which apes the ending of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, went online a couple of hours ago. There’s now an interview with the creator on the Wall Street Journal.
Edmund Earle is an animator who saw the Yogi Bear trailer and thought it was ripe for parody. Now he’s finally gotten it done and it’s taken off in a huge way. Earle has no connection to the film, despite some internet reports. That said, I expect this to get the guy some work ASAP.
