Downloadable: Gorillaz “The Fall” (aka the iPad Album)
Much hoopla was made after Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn announced he was producing the band’s next album entirely on the iPad and it would come out on Christmas. And by golly, he kept his word as on Christ’s birthday the album became available for FREE.
Unfortunately, compared to past Gorillaz albums, it does sound like an album produced on the iPad with it’s synthy loops and overall ethereal feel. Though overall it’s still a nicely sedate chill album and an interesting experiment in creation via restriction. You can download the full album at 2dopeboyz who’ve also included the digital album artwork, which is a must since Jamie Hewlett’s images are half of the Gorillaz experience.
