The dawn of a new year and M.I.A. bestows us with a mixtape tribute to 2010’s #1 government enemy, WikiLeaks. It’s a perfect 36 minutes of M.I.A.‘s avant-garde electronic dance music that follows-up on her misunderstood second third album, MAYA. I still don’t know why that album got so much hate as I felt it was far more accessible then Kala and better produced.
Anyhow, give Vicki Leekx a download, but wait until after your New Year’s Hangover to subside before listening. It will rattle your head. Fast forward to 17:20 for my favorite track I would guess is titled “Marsha”?
