AICN’s Quint Brings His HOME To Dimension
Slashfilm is reporting some very good news for two friends of mine: The Home, the film co-written by Ain’t It Cool News’ Quint and to be directed by his hetero lifemate, Kristofer Aaron Morgan (who also co-wrote), is being bought by Dimension Films, the genre arm of the Weinstein Company. The Home is about an injured firefighter who is taken to a creepy, secluded nursing home. At first he thinks the ravings of the elderly inhabitants come from dementia, but pretty soon horrors behind the walls start making themselves known.
These two have been working diligently on Home forever - I mean seriously for years now - and it’s all finally paying off. The movie shoots this year in Austin, with a great cast that includes Brian Cox and Cloris Leachman and Louis Gossett Jr.
There’s no word on whether Dimension intends the film for a theatrical or home video release, but I’m sure they have time to think on it and see what a great job these guys do. And I’m sure it’ll show up at Fantastic Fest, among other places.
Huge congratulations to two of the best guys I know - guys who couldn’t deserve this more.
