Della-More-Te: CEMETERY MAN 2 Could Be Made

A return to the world of DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE? Sign us up!

Dellamorte Dellamore, aka Cemetery Man, is one of the all-time great living dead films. Starring a very young Rupert Everett as a riff on the Dylan Dog character, Michele Soavi’s film is brilliant and fun and exciting and beautiful. And we’ve been kind of wanting a sequel for a long, long time.

Soavi stepped away from directing for a while, but lately he’s been making a comeback and now Fangoria has learned that a Dellamorte 2 is on his mind. Luigi Cozzi (director of Starcrash!) has some second hand info for the magazine:

“Michele has told me that he has started to write the script for a special horror project he plans to shoot between the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2012: a sequel to his Gothic masterpiece DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE, a.k.a. CEMETERY MAN,” Cozzi tells us. “He’s going to produce it himself and wants it to really be a great, strong, shocking Italian horror movie.”

If he brings back Rupert Everett (and my understanding is that he’s willing to go back), I’m all for it. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime it seems like Cemetery Man is out of print in region one. Someone put this film on Blu-Ray!
