Trailer For THE WICKER TREE Is Really Weird
Robin Hardy’s ‘companion piece’ to THE WICKER MAN could be bugfuck nuts.
The Wicker Tree is from Robin Hardy, the director of the original The Wicker Man. Judging by the trailer it’s got a lot of similarities to that film - including Christopher Lee - but I’m told it’s not a sequel OR a remake. It’s instead based on Hardy’s own novel Cowboys For Christ.
Whatever it is, it looks really weird. This isn’t a great trailer, but it gets across an incredibly sense of the bizarre that I like.
The movie’s been sitting on a shelf for almost two years now, so don’t get too excited.
