Exclusive Preview! John Landis Talks BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES On Trailers From Hell!

If you know me you know I love the Planet of the Apes movies. All this week Trailers From Hell has been featuring the trailers for the series, with some guy named John Landis doing commentary. Why they didn’t get me, I’ll never know. But it’s okay, since Landis turns out to be funny and knowledgeable and has done some of the best commentaries that have been on the site so far (which is really saying something, since it’s a hell of a site, which you should visit regularly).

To make up for  not bringing me in as one of their Gurus (there’s a stupid rule that you have to be famous and a filmmaker), Trailers From Hell has given us an exclusive sneak peek at Landis’ commentary for Battle For the Planet of the Apes. Easily the worst of the series, Battle is the victim of lowered budgets and a forced happy ending - but it’s still an Apes movie.

Most interestingly, Landis is actually IN Battle... but I’ll let him tell you about that.
