UPDATED! Quentin Tarantino’s Next Is A Spaghetti Western - With Christoph Waltz!

Franco Nero spills the beans on QT’s next film.

UPDATED: Mr. Beaks at Ain’t It Cool News has revealed some of the interesting details about Tarantino’s spaghetti western, the most intriguing being that Christoph Waltz is set to star. Told ya you’d like the casting. Beaks also says that the title of Tarantino’s film is NOT the title that Nero shared. Is it possible these are two different projects going this year?

Franco Nero has spilled some beans about Quentin Tarantino’s next film, which will be a spaghetti western. Nero reveals to movieplayer.it that the film will be called The Angel, The Bad and The Wise (or something like that - we’re going by a fairly literal Google Translate version of the title right now), and it will also feature Treat Williams and Keith Carradine.

There’s more exciting casting news to come - from what I know the cast of this film, in the parts they’re playing, will blow your minds - but I’m not at liberty to share anything right now. While this looks, in the initial announcement, like Tarantino just doing a riff on Leone, I think this film could be really, really great in its own way - while also being an homage to Leone.

The upside of this is that the untimely death of Sally Menke isn’t slowing Tarantino down, and in fact he’s getting his next film together with remarkable (for him) speed. I would expect to see the film shooting some time in the fall.
