2011 Dodge Challenger VANISHING POINT Edition
As Fast Five opens in theaters across America let us take a moment to remember America’s legacy of great car films. Great car films like Vanishing Point, with its iconic white Dodge Challenger. You know, the one that fascinated Zoe Bell so much in Death Proof?
Bob Frederick, a fan of the film, convinced Dodge to create a limited edition (limited to just ten!) 2011 Kowalski Challenger. Kowalski, of course, is the main character of Vanishing Point, tasked with driving a white 1970 Dodge Challenger from Denver to San Francisco in 15 hours, so it’s fitting to name this edition after him.
Starting life as a traditional 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, these white coupes have had their stripes removed and a handful of options added on. Inside, a pistol-grip shifter sits at attention and a numbered dash plaque is mounted nearby. On the outside, the Kowalski Edition Challengers sport Mopar quad exhaust tips, Scat Pack Bee decals in the rear quarter windows and a tasteful Kowalski Edition decal on the rear spoiler.
All ten are gone, so tough luck if you wanted one. But you can still enjoy Vanishing Point!
