Payback’s An Itch: Check Out The Campy SUCKER Trailer

Full disclosure: my brother’s company Scientifically Proven was involved in the production of this film, and he cameos as a thug who gets a sucker in the forehead.

Shock Til You Drop has gotten a hold of the sales reel for Sucker, a horror comedy about a guy who gets turned into a giant mosquito monster. It’s an indie film that took advantage of (the eternally imperiled) Michigan tax rebates and shot in Detroit. Here’s the synopsis from Shock:

The film follows Jim Crawley, whois having a pretty bad day. He gets fired from his job at the Nuclear Power Plant he’s worked at for 11 years, his car gets impounded, and he discovers his wife is having an affair with his ex co-worker. To make matters worse, Jim gets abducted by an evil scientist who is conducting tests of a controversial vaccine against a deadly virus that is spreading across the planet.

The trailer has the wackiness and weirdness of middle period Sam Raimi; think Crimewave or Darkman. It’s silly and it’s broad and it has a real comic booky sensibility.
