Jennifer Lawrence Still A Fox In HUNGER GAMES, Even With Spray On Tan and Wig

One of our best young actresses goes dark for the new tween-oriented action movie.

I feel bad reducing Jennifer Lawrence to just her looks. After all, her performance in Winter’s Bone is simply incredible, and she proved in The Beaver that she was no fluke. She’s a star, but more than that she’s an actress.

But what else can I do except talk about her look in a story about the reveal of her look in Hunger Games? So now I am forced to focus not on her talent but on her extreme foxiness. Sorry, JLaw.

I haven’t been reporting on the flurry of casting for Hunger Games because I’m not a 12 year old girl and I suspect you aren’t either, so none of us care which unknown actor is playing the Tribute from Deep 13 or whatever. But this looks more newsy - or at least like it’s the kind of hit whoring in which I can engage with a clean conscience.

Apparently the character she’s playing in Hunger Games (which, if you’re not familiar, is Battle Royale for 12 year old girls. Honestly) is described as dark of hair and complexion, and thus the spray on tan and wig. I think it works, but I haven’t been able to force myself to read the book yet; maybe once I do I will look at this picture and be outraged.
