Joe Lynch Gets His Third Movie Going, A Single Room Assassin Action Film!

One woman. One room. Waves of assassins.

Joe Lynch, director of the so much, much better than you think it is Wrong Turn 2, is finishing up his long-awaited second feature, The Knights of Badassdom. That film, which is in post right now, is about a group of LARPers who are tasked to fight an actual monster menace. I’m not quite sure when that sucker will be out. (Fantastic Fest, Joe?)

But I do know that we won’t be waiting so long for his third movie. Joe has signed on to direct a movie called Everly, and it sounds sort of kick ass. Here’s the premise:

Story is an intense action thriller centered on a down-on-her-luck woman who is forced to fend off waves of assassins sent by her ex, a dangerous mob boss. The film is set entirely in one room, and is based on a concept created by Lynch.

The script, by Yale Hannon, had been on the Black List.

Everly is being produced by Crime Scene Pictures, the same people behind the current remake of Gambit, which is scripted by the Coen Brothers. Everly will shoot this winter.
