Naomie Harris Rumored For Moneypenny In BOND 23
Could the BOND films be going post-racial?
The Daily Mail is reporting that Naomie Harris is in “final negotiations” to play Moneypenny in Bond 23, which would return the character to the franchise for the first time in a decade. Also, since it’s the Daily Mail, it’s probably bullshit!
But until we learn otherwise, this will be a nice litmus test to see if die-hard Bond fans are less racist than their comic-book reading, Black Thor Actor-hating contemporaries. Rigid/racist, literal-minded comic book fans have been embarrassing themselves since Donald Glover joked about playing Spider-Man last year; this is a chance for dorky Bond fans to show the world they’re better than that. Don’t let me down, WASPy spy nerds!
