Trailer For SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE CASE OF THE EXPLODING SPEED RAMP

I know that Sherlock Holmes was established in the Arthur Conan Doyle stories as a strong amateur boxer and as a student of the Japanese martial art of ‘baritsu,’ but the premise of the new Guy Ritchie franchise seems to be that Watson neglected to write down the really brawny stories. It was kind of fun seeing Holmes in big action scenes in Sherlock Holmes, but with Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows I’m hoping Ritchie has something more up his sleeve than speed ramping during battle scenes. Like a more engaging script than what we got in Sherlock Holmes, a film that coasted on the charisma of Robert Downey Jr. Jon Favreau learned what happens when you try to coast on RDJ’s charisma two films in a row - you get Iron Man 2!

Anyway, the trailer for Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows is online at Apple here. I’m just glad that they cast Jared Harris as Moriarty, as it seems unlikely that he’ll end up in any wire-fu fights with Downey. Right?
