Feeling Philately: Edgar Rice Burroughs Gets A Stamp
Last week we told you that John Ford was getting a stamp from the US Postal Service, but it turns out he isn’t the only badass person getting his backside licked and affixed to envelopes. The Postal Service will release an Edgar Rice Burroughs stamp in 2012 to celebrate the centennial of the author’s first stories being published.
The very cool stamp has a portrait of Burroughs and good old Tarzan doing Tarzan stuff in the trees. Like the John Ford stamp this will be a Forever Stamp, meaning it will always have the current value of a one ounce letter. You can use it forever and ever!
