Paramount Is Making Darren Aronofsky’s NOAH

Finally! Aronofsky gets his dream project off the ground this spring.

Noah, a dream project of Darren Aronofsky's for decades, will finally get under way in the spring. New Regency Productions and Paramount are financing the film, which will have a rewrite at the hands of John Logan. Aronofsky and Ari Handel wrote the original script.

"Since I was a kid, I have been moved and inspired by the story of Noah and his family's journey.  The imaginations of countless generations have sparked to this epic story of faith. It's my hope that I can present a window into Noah's passion and perseverance for the silver screen," said Aronofsky in a press release.

I'm not sure why John Milquetoast Logan is needed to rewrite a script by Aronofsky, but I'll take the good news that it's getting made. I'm sure Aronofsky, who is also producing, will be keeping a tight eye on the script.

There are no other solid details right now, but I'll be excited and waiting for every scrap of news that comes down  the pike on this one.
