Nothing Is Sacred: LEFT BEHIND Getting Rebooted

The new Left Behind will have a whopping $15 million budget, much bigger than the 2001 original. It will also apparently attempt to be more commercial, taking the form of a disaster movie set in the first hours after the Good Christian Faithful have been Raptured up to Heaven.

Cloud Ten pictures has a script, but they now need a director. They're hitting the American Film Market in search of someone who can give unto Cloud Ten what is Cloud Ten's - ie, a movie that hits not just the Christian audience but maybe normal people. And also a big return on their investment. And a new franchise. Hey, even Jesus came back.
