Nature Trying To Cancel MAD MAX: FURY ROAD

George Miller explains that the wasteland is gone.

So what's the story with Mad Max: Fury Road? The film has been just about to happen for a couple of years now, but for the last twelve months or so the whole thing has had the distinct air of being dead.

Not quite, director George Miller tells Coming Soon. "Theoretically, it's next year," Miller said "We have 150 big vehicles built and so on."

He's just waiting for God to stop trying to fuck with the production.

"We were all set to shoot in the Australian desert and then unprecedented rain came and what was the wasteland -- completely flat, red earth -- is now a flower garden. The big massive salt flats in the center of Australia where they do record speed trials and stuff is now full of pelicans and fish... We sort of lost the wasteland."

Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron were set to star in the movie, but with the endless delays it's unclear if they'll be available when Miller is finally able to start shooting. If he's finally able to start shooting.
