The Girl With The Three CD/Six LP Soundtrack Album

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' soundtrack for Fincher's GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO is sort of massive.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo screened for select critics this week. I was not one of them, but I have talked to some folks who were... well, I guess the word would be whelmed. It's pretty much what you'd expect, I guess, especially if you're familiar with the subpar book. I was hoping Fincher would have really elevated the material, but I'll wait until I see the film to really pass any judgment.

I don't know when I'll get to see the movie, but I can pass the time listening to the THREE CD SET soundtrack. That's six LPs if you're getting it on vinyl. If CDs run about 74 minutes, I have to assume the soundtrack is actually longer than the movie.

You can order that soundtrack right now; in the meantime you can download a free 6 track sampler here. And that Karen O/Reznor cover of Immigrant Song, which wowed everybody on the first trailer, is now purchasable on iTunes. Or you can listen to the video below (warning: Sony is pulling these videos down fast)!
