A Cannonade of Choreography in This Week’s Holy Hunter of Music Videos

Today we've got videos from M + A, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Major Lazer.

M + A = Michele Ducci and Alessandro Degli, an Italian duo wise beyond their years (nineteen and twenty-two) who specialize in sacchariferous minimal techno. Together with director Rino Stefano Tagliafierro, they’ve recently debuted an amusing video to accompany their first album’s standout track “Bam." I can only imagine how exhausted our onliest manic pixie clone girl was by the end of the project. Quite the opposite from my high school Physical Education experience, she appears impressively unfazed. Then again, not everyone had a Coach Frisbee to replace your name with “GIP” or “BIP,” which stood for “Girl in Puberty” and so forth. Needless to say most of us weren’t eager to bend over for the scoliosis test.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s latest video for “Tsukema Tsukeru” is the wad of bubble gum under the place holder securing her title for rollicking poster child of all things bizarre and kawaii (a measure of cuteness in the context of Japanese culture). Don’t tell me you missed out on the hypnotizing horror of the the faceless dancing lady from “PONPONPON"--and up until the 2:20 mark in the video below, you’ll think it weak by comparison. Then it’s all precarious bag of chips skirt with jumbo eyelash boobs and barely clothed backup dancing Panthera men in bitty bralettes. In other words, all I want for Christmas.

How quickly Major Lazer found the Jian Sword Dancing couple from the original and tidied them up for a special cameo in their video for “Original Don." I’ll forgive Diplo for that Blackberry Torch commercial/humblebrag after they don their signature uniform of sensible, colorful tee with white sneaks near the end. Jumpsuit Granny comes to their aid in the finale with a sweet double sided weapon that I’ve spent an undisclosed amount of time researching. How many times did you think she was going to slice that puppy into kibbles ‘n bits?

Now direct me to your favorites of the week, folks.
