The “Priest” They Called Him

William S Burroughs and Kurt Cobain bring you all the holiday cheer you need.

The "Priest" They Called Him first appeared in William S Burrough's collection Exterminator!. In 1992 Kurt Cobain (credited on the 10 inch vinyl as Kurtis Donald Cȯhbaine) collaborated with the poet on a spoken word release, with Burroughs reading the poem and Cobain offering dissonant, crashing electric guitar. It's the true meaning of the holiday - a junkie giving up his fix to a young boy.

The priest on the cover of the EP is none other than Krist Novoselic, Nirvana's bassist.
