Contest: Badass Digest Wants To Send You To The HUNGER GAMES Premiere!
It's 50 days from the release of Hunger Games, and Lionsgate is teaming up with Badass Digest to give you an opportunity to attend the Los Angeles premiere of the movie at the Nokia Theater on March 12.
Hunger Games, based on a novel by Suzanne Collins, is set in a dystopian future where the United States has been destroyed and Panem has risen from the ashes. Every year one boy and one girl from the 12 districts surrounding the Capitol are sent to fight to the death in a nationally televised contest. These kids are known as tributes.
We want YOUR tributes - specifically your tribute to the most badass moment in the first book. It's up to you to decide what you think was the most badass part of the book, and it's up to you to decide how you want to pay tribute. You can take a photograph that re-enacts the moment, or recreate it in clay or on video or as a drawing or as music. Be creative!
Submit your tribute via the form on our Facebook page (click here. You must "Like" our page first). We'll be taking submissions until February 25th, and highlighting them on our Facebook page. Also check out Lionsgate's Facebook page for Hunger Games, where you can learn about the other 49 contests going on, as well as more details on the premiere!
On February 25th we will close down submissions and the next phase will begin; the editorial staff of Badass Digest will pick our five favorite entries and then put them out for the public to vote on. The entry that has the most 'Likes' on our page come February 29th will be the winner!
We will fly you and a friend to Los Angeles, where you will attend the premiere of Hunger Games along with the stars. You'll have to find your own accomodations, though!
This contest is only open to residents of the mainland 48 United States. Sorry, Alaska and Hawaii!
You may enter as many different tributes as you like, but they must all be different. Duplicate tributes will be discarded.
You must be at least 18 to enter this contest.
This contest is not open to employees of the Alamo Drafthouse or its subsidiary companies, and their immediate family is also disqualified.
By entering this contest you agree to these rules and to abide by the decisions of the contest organizers and administrators, known as Badass Digest and The Alamo Drafthouse, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
