Indiana Jones Coming To Blu This Fall… But Only With CRYSTAL SKULL

You'll finally have RAIDERS in high def! But you'll also have KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL in high def!

This is one of those good news/bad news situations. The good news is that the Indiana Jones movies are coming to Blu-ray this fall. The bad news is that it will be a box set that includes Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And also probably won't have a whole ton of new features, judging by this Paramount blurb:

The man with the hat is back – and looking better than ever! The world’s favorite globe-trotting archaeologist is, at long last, embarking on his greatest adventure – when “The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection” comes to Blu-ray Disc from Lucasfilm Ltd. and Paramount Home Media Distribution. The Complete Indiana Jones Blu-ray Collection will be excavated in the fall of 2012 and will include all four of Indy’s thrilling adventures, using the highest possible high definition picture and audio presentation – along with a “best of” collection of documentaries, interviews, featurettes and a few new surprises.

I saw the remastered Raiders of the Lost Ark and I can say that it's incredible. My big question is if they'll go with that horrible naming convention of a few years ago, adding Indiana Jones and.... to the front of the title.

And the 'few new surprises' will probably be the only things that don't already exist on DVD, but really who cares? The important thing is getting these films in the highest quality possible.

There's no date yet.
