They’re Shooting Another Scene For THE AVENGERS

Today was the junket for The Avengers. Not a lot of good stuff came out of the press conferences, which were insidious enough that Loki himself might have planned them, except for one tidbit: Robert Downey Jr announced, out of nowhere, that the assembled Avengers would be getting together to shoot one more scene later tonight. Joss Whedon later denied it, but Joss was lying - they are shooting a scene. 

And so the speculation engine begins! I have heard through the grapevine that what they're shooting is lighthearted and not particularly 'important,' in terms of Marvel Universe stuff. It will probably be something rewarding to ALL moviegoers, not just the fanatical nerds who will cream themselves over the already-existing mid-credits reveal (which has been spoiled elsewhere online, but I won't spoil it here).

I spent some time with Kevin Feige today, by the way. I'm not sure if I got any 'scoops' or anything, but it was interesting to talk about the future of Marvel in film, and the long-term planning they continue to do. Look for some stuff pulled from that interview tomorrow.
