Author Seth Grahame-Smith To Judge Filmmaking Frenzy!
We recently announced our first Filmmaking Frenzy contest, Commander-in-Chief: Ultimate Badass, which was inspired by Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. We supply you with a list of badass alternate occupations, you marry one to a US president and then make a fake trailer for a movie based on that concept. Will you make George Washington: Psycho Lumberjack? Teddy Roosevelt: Space Assassin? Warren G Harding: Original Gangster? It's up to you.
The prize for the contest will be a Sony prosumer camera valued at $2,750, and the winner will be chosen from a group of finalists decided by Facebook likes. Our panel of judges will watch those shorts and make a final decision.
We're proud to announce that Seth Grahame-Smith, author of the book Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter as well as writer of the movie version, will be one of the judges for the contest. Grahame-Smith also wrote Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, making him the reigning expert on mash-ups and thus the perfect judge.
The contest is running through June 18th, so get cracking!
