Here’s Angelina Jolie As Maleficent

Maleficent predates the Marvel version of Loki by decades years, but I wonder how many people will look at this picture and think 'Lady Loki'?

That's Angelina Jolie in her headgear and contact lenses to play Maleficent, the evil queen from Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Over the years Maleficent has garnered a serious following, especially amongst the friends of Dorothy. Now she's getting her own movie, a prequel that explains why she's such a beeyotch in the first place. The script is by Paul Dini and Linda Woolverton, which is super cool, but the film is being directed by a first-timer - FX guy Robert Stromberg. I don't know how these big studios feel so confident in handing mega-budget productions to first-timers. I'm available, though, should Disney need a n00b to helm Dopey, the Snow White prequel.
