Watch The Trailer For Bryan Singer’s H+ THE DIGITAL SERIES

Bryan Singer's new web series looks expensive and potentially rad.

I've mentioned before that I'm a big fan of web series; I love the way they democratize creativity, allowing freedom for imaginative output uninhibited by studio notes or Nielsen boxes. While Ken Marino's Burning Love is my current fave, a new genre series produced by Bryan Singer called H+ has definitely piqued my interest.

H+ takes place in the near future as humans are becoming absorbed in a new bit of software from a company called Hplus Nano Teoranta. The software transmits the Internet directly into the user's brain, a tremendous technological break-through that quickly develops into pandemonium as a worldwide virus attacks the software and every person implanted with the H+ chip. The series certainly appears to boast a grand scope; Singer's received some money from the Warner Bros. digital arm to supplement the budget.

The first episode is directed by Singer, with subsequent episodes helmed by Sorority Row director Stewart Hendler, so we'll see how that goes. Buffy/Angel alum Alexis Denisof stars; I don't think I recognize any of the other actors in the trailer. Do you guys?

H+ is premiering at Comic Con, so hopefully I can bring you more scoop next week! Tell me what you think about the trailer in the comments.
