Countdown to Comic-Con: PACIFIC RIM Teaser Poster!

I can tell you with some authority that, if you're going to Comic-Con, you should plan on being in Hall H next Saturday. It's the major day of the Con, with the most exciting stuff being shown. And maybe the most exciting thing will be what we see from Pacific Rim. The movie is Guillermo del Toro's take on giant robots and giant monsters, filled to the brim with love for old kaiju movies and a unique visual sensibiilty.

Our first official look at the movie comes in the form of the above poster, which shows us a Jaeger - a giant monster fighting robot - with its human pilots on its shoulders for scale. These things would step on Transformers and not even pay attention. 

We're still a ways out from Pacific Rim - it hits next summer - so don't expect to see too much from the film just yet. Hell, they only finished shooting a couple of weeks ago. Still, it's THE movie of 2013 I'm most excited about at the moment.
