Joss Whedon Signed For AVENGERS 2
He'll return to write and direct the sequel.
Yay! SlashFilm has just reported that Joss Whedon will return to write and direct the sequel to this summer's biggest and best blockbuster, The Avengers. It was evidently just announced on a Disney Investors conference call, where it was also reported that Whedon will contribute in some capacity to the Marvel Universe live-action TV series that was recently heralded.
I don't think I need to tell you guys that this is excellent news. Whedon hit one hell of a one-two punch with Cabin in the Woods and The Avengers this summer, and I can't imagine anyone else handling Avengers 2 with his deft approach of humor, heart and adventure.
